Game recaps from CBS Fantasy Football AI Sports Reporters

Connecticut Wildcats won their 4th in a row, while Mercer Mustangs took yet another hit to the loss column. Meanwhile, Coach Nicholas Fisher lost despite doing all he could on the coaching front. Read all about it in this week’s report.

Show’s Over

Joe Burrow and Dallas Armadillos put an end to Miami Muffdivers’ four game streak

Dallas Armadillos came into the game as the biggest favorite this week and proceeded to make the experts look good. They earned a nice victory over Miami Muffdivers, winning 90 to 75.5. The win helped Dallas Armadillos halt Miami Muffdivers’ four game winning streak.

With the win, Dallas Armadillos continues their four-game streak of success, which brings their record to 4 – 3. The loss drops Miami Muffdivers’ record to 4 – 2.

Dallas Armadillos had all (well, most) hands on deck in this win, with six players beating their positional averages. Joe Burrow was the best of the bunch, dropping 22 points. Burrow’s performance early on Sunday took him from the 4th best quarterback to the 3rd best quarterback in the league. He threw two of his four touchdowns to the exact same spot on the exact same route.

Meanwhile, it will be difficult for Coach Pat landy to fault any one player for the loss. Miami Muffdivers were brought down by four underperformers, the worst of whom was Matthew Golden (3 points). That’s the fewest points that he’s scored so far this year. His performance this week also broke his four game streak of surpassing his projections.

Coaches Paul Gilgallon and Sam McClain have made more lineup changes than any other coach in the league, and this week all that shuffling paid off. They went with Tucker Kraft over the higher ranked Jordan Mason.

This decision netted Coaches Paul Gilgallon and Sam McClain an extra 4 points. After their decisions this week, Coaches Paul Gilgallon and Sam McClain’s lineup moves are now a net-plus for the year.

Sweet Mercy

Jaxon Smith-Njigba helps Frelinghuysen Froglickers end their 3 game losing streak

Happy Valley Violence (1 – 6) showed off the form that earned them the worst record in the league going into this week. They got absolutely demolished by Frelinghuysen Froglickers (3 – 3), losing 88 to 33. Blowouts are typical for these teams these days. Happy Valley Violence has been involved in four straight blowout games, while this is the 2nd straight blowout game for Frelinghuysen Froglickers.

The game gave sweet relief to one team, even though both teams needed it. Happy Valley Violence came into the game on a five game losing streak With the win, Frelinghuysen Froglickers put an end to their three game losing streak.

Frelinghuysen Froglickers have been relying on Jaxon Smith-Njigba all year, and he came through again this week. JSN was a one-man wrecking crew, posting 22.5 points. He is on quite a hot streak, performing better than any other starter over the last three weeks. He made this beautiful bucket catch to give the Seahawks a 10-point lead.

Happy Valley Violence lost due to the efforts of some repeat offenders this week. Roschon Johnson and Jake Ferguson both scored zero points, while Brock Purdy contributed 8. Johnson’s 0 point performance was worse than every other player this week. He has now failed to exceed the average running back’s point total in any week this year.

Having forgotten to set their lineup last week, it seems Coaches Chris Paret, Jeffrey Ozarski, and John Trzeciak have returned to the living this week. They followed the experts’ advice for each position and ended up with a perfect lineup (yes, any substitutions and Happy Valley Violence would have scored LESS). This is the first time all year that Coaches Chris Paret, Jeffrey Ozarski, and John Trzeciak have pulled that off.

On a Tear

Javonte Williams and Connecticut Wildcats stay hot against Keystone Longfellows

Coming into the game, Connecticut Wildcats had scored the most points of any team over the last three weeks, and they kept that momentum going. Coach Ron Yeany’s boys got past Keystone Longfellows without much trouble, winning 87.5 to 69.5.

That’s four straight wins for Connecticut Wildcats, for those of you counting, giving them a record of 4 – 2. The loss drops Keystone Longfellows’ record to 5 – 2.

Connecticut Wildcats had two main stars in Javonte Williams and CeeDee Lamb, who together produced 38.5 points. Williams’ performance led Connecticut Wildcats for the 2nd time this year. He became the first Cowboys running back to go for 150 rushing yards in eight years.

Meanwhile, Chase Brown and Kenneth Walker III were quite coordinated in their failures for Keystone Longfellows. They each put up only 4 points. Underperforming is the new normal for Brown, who has gone five straight games without hitting his projected point total.

Coach Yeany certainly deserved the win, given his lineup decisions. He started Colston Loveland instead of Adonai Mitchell, despite the experts’ prediction that Mitchell should have played.

This decision gave Connecticut Wildcats a nice 12.5 point bonus. Coach Yeany’s decisions this week allow him to relinquish his title as the worst gameday coach in the league (Coach David Zilberfarb wears the crown now).

Don’t Test Me

Tony Pollard’s 30.5 points sinks Big Oregon Bang

It’s not that hard to win when you have the league’s top performer for the week, and Tony Pollard was that player. Pollard was the key component as Boalsburg Blowfish thoroughly dominated Big Oregon Bang, winning 118 to 61. His 30.5 point performance made him the top performer on Boalsburg Blowfish for the first time this year. This was the first (and prettiest) of his three touchdowns on the day.

Boalsburg Blowfish also had the 5th best performer this week in Jameson Williams, who racked up 20.5 points. Coaches cathy weaver and Doug Weaver’s squad won despite bad games from Chris Godwin and Derrick Henry, who together recorded 5.5 points.

Big Oregon Bang suffered through poor performances from Tyler Allgeier, Jaylin Noel, and Germie Bernard, who collectively managed only 4 points. Allgeier has now been the worst performing starter in the league over the last three weeks. Unsurprisingly, he has also been the worst player on Big Oregon Bang more than anybody else on the team.

Chris Olave has to share in some of the blame as well, coming up with 5.6 fewer points than he was expected to. It’s yet another disappointing day for Olave, who has now underperformed the experts’ predictions in five straight games.

The win gets Boalsburg Blowfish back above .500 at 4 – 3.

Monster

Quinshon Judkins scores 20.5 points to help put away Mercer Mustangs

Chicago Mud had gotten terrible production out of their running backs this season (4th worst in the league), but this week it was a whole different story. Chicago Mud ran their way to a 85 to 33 win over Mercer Mustangs. Quinshon Judkins scored 20.5 points, Jonathan Taylor got 15, and Ollie Gordon II dropped 14.5. Judkins looked like he was shot out of a cannon in this big pickup that set up his rushing touchdown.

Mercer Mustangs, meanwhile, were having a terrible time moving the ball down the field, with the whole team gaining only 156 yards. Mercer Mustangs were practicing their manners as they put every other team ahead of themselves in the RuReYd category this week. They saw six different players underperform in that category, and while none of them particularly stuck out, Rashid Shaheed and his 1 total yard was officially the worst.

The win was Chicago Mud’s 3rd in their last four games, bringing their record to 4 – 3. Another defeat makes it three in a row for Mercer Mustangs, which leaves them with a 1 – 6 record.

No Laughing Matter

Tee Higgins (20 points) leads New Chester Thorobreds to a win over Philadelphia Griffins

New Chester Thorobreds were able to grind out a solid victory this week against Philadelphia Griffins, winning by a score of 81 to 69. The loss was Philadelphia Griffins’ 3rd in their last four games, bringing their record to 2 – 4. The win brings New Chester Thorobreds to 4 – 3.

Tee Higgins separated himself from the rest of the crew on New Chester Thorobreds, tallying 20 points. That’s the most points that he’s scored so far this year. Higgins finished with 148 yards and a touchdown after zero catches in the first half.

Meanwhile, there were plenty of chefs cooking up this week’s loss for Philadelphia Griffins. They had five underperformers, with Kendre Miller (1.5 points) being the worst. Coach Nicholas Fisher is still waiting to get one above-average week from Miller.

Although he lost this week, Coach Fisher had a good game on the sidelines. He got every lineup spot right. He has now set the most perfect lineups of anyone in the league.

Bye Week: Beach Dudes are Duds

Orange County scored 74 points during the bye, which was not enough to finish in the top half of total points this week, so the Beach Dudes fail to score any FFL Points.
