The league conducts most transactions through CBS Sports website, but since that service does not support the concept of first-come, first-serve transaction periods, our league’s IR rules, or trading future draft picks, this page is the transaction report of record for the league.

Mud Wins Fantasy Bowl XXIX
The Chicago Mud has won the franchise’s fifth league championship with a 81.5-63 win over the Philadelphia Griffins in Fantasy Bowl XXIX. The Mud ties the Blowfish franchise for most titles (5) in league history. The Griffins extend their record for most Fantasy Bowl appearances (11) and title game losses (7).
The Boxboro Blowfish — as they have done several times this year — led the week in points and won the consolation game, 123-102.5, over the Happy Valley Violence. The Blowfish finish 3rd in the playoffs, but have likely sealed up the points championship, as they enter the final week of play with an 82.5-point lead over second-place Mud.
For the fifth-place game, the New Chester Thorobreds defeated the Orange County Beach Dudes 80.5-29.
Celebrate the new year safely, everyone, and here’s hoping for better things in 2021!
Mud vs. Griffins in Fantasy Bowl XXIX
We do not need to await the results of the Monday Night NFL this week — our semifinal playoffs are over, and the top two seeds will advance to play in our 29th championship game.
The Chicago Mud (10-3) will face the Philadelphia Griffins (9-4) in Fantasy Bowl XXIX. The Mud advance by means of a solid 90-63 win over Happy Valley, while the Griffins held on for a tight 2.5-point over Boxboro, 87.5-85.
Both our finalists are seeking their franchise’s fifth championship (Chicago has 2 wins as the Mud and 2 as the Riot! in the 1990s), which will tie the Blowfish franchise who has a record five Fantasy Bowl championships. The Griffins and Mud also have the most appearances in the title game: this will be a record 11th Fantasy Bowl appearance for the Griffins, while it’s the 8th trip to the title game for the Mud/Riot franchise.
There will be two consolation games this week as well: Happy Valley will face off against Boxboro for third place overall, and New Chester vs. Orange County will determine 5th/6th place.
Who Will The Mud Choose?
FFL-GOO Owners await the decision of the Chicago Mud: will they choose to play the Blowfish or the Violence?
The 2020 quarterfinals are complete, and the Boxboro Blowfish have dispatched the Orange County Beach Dudes 71-55.5. In the meantime, the Happy Valley Violence have demolished the New Chester Thorobreds 101.5-39. The Blowfish and Violence advance, and we await Mr. Feldman’s decision on his opponent to finalize the semifinal matchups. The Griffins will face the remaining quarterfinal winner.
The Mud have also closed the total points gap with the Blowfish, and Boxboro now holds a 46-point lead (1288-1242) over Chicago with three full weeks remaining in the points race. The Froglickers (1093.5) are a distant third with the Griffins and Violence (1073.5) tied for 4th in points.
Playoff matchups will be posted when our #1 seed makes his choice.
UPDATE: The Mud has spoken:
Our 2020 semifinal lineup is set.
#1 Chicago Mud (9-3) vs. #5 Happy Valley Violence (9-4)
#2 Philadelphia Griffins (8-4) vs. #3 Boxboro Blowfish (8-5)
Good luck, gentlemen!
FFL-GOO Playoffs Set
FFL-GOO Playoff Lineup
WEEK 14 (quarterfinals):
#1 Chicago Mud (9-3) – bye
#2 Philadelphia Griffins (8-4) – bye
#3 Boxboro Blowfish (7-5) vs. #6 Orange County Beach Dudes (6-6)

WEEK 15 (semifinals):
#1 Chicago Mud chooses his opponent of the quarterfinal winners.

Semifinal losers play consolation game for 3rd place.
FFL-GOO Playoff Outlook
We still have one NFL game left on Tuesday, but I sure do hear the fat lady warming up her voice in FFL-GOO. Let’s take a look.
Chicago Mud – finishes 9-3 and will be the #1 seed.
Boxboro Blowfish – finishes 7-5 and will be the #3 seed.
New Chester Thorobreds – finishes 8-3-1 and will be the #4 seed.
Philadelphia Griffins lead Dallas Armadillos 64-50.5
+ PHI has K Justin Tucker in the Tuesday game
+ DAL has RB J.K. Dobbins in the Tuesday game
— IF the Griffins win this week, they win the division, finish 8-4, and will be the #2 seed. Happy Valley Violence would be the #5 seed.
— IF the Armadillos win this week, HVV (8-4) would win the division and be the #2 seed, PHI (7-5) would be the #5 seed, and DAL (6-6) would get the final wild card spot.
Not Dead Yet:
Orange Co. Beach Dudes — lost week 13, finishes 6-6, BUT would still get the final wild card spot if both the Armadillos and Wildcats lose. OCD loses a tiebreaker to DAL if they both finish 6-6.
Boston Wildcats — losing week 13 to Mercer, but could finish 6-5-1 if Amari Cooper scores more than 33 points. (Rumor has it Wildcats administrative offices are already packing the trucks to move to Pennsylvania.)
So to recap:
IN: #1 Chicago Mud, #3 Boxboro Blowfish, #4 New Chester Thorobreds
IN: Philadelphia Griffins and Happy Valley Violence (division winner #2 seed; other team #5 seed)
ONE SPOT LEFT: for either Beach Dudes, Armadillos, or Wildcats
1.07 Weeks Remaining FFL-GOO Update
Week 12 is almost finished, with the Steelers vs. Ravens game still expected to be played Wednesday afternoon. In FFL-GOO, only a couple players are involved in the PIT-BAL game and it is extremely unlikely to change any win/loss outcomes this week.
A note about transactions: CBS has delayed their waivers this week to accommodate PIT-BAL, so I will:
1. record submitted transactions on fflgoo.com; BUT
2. I cannot process them on CBS until Wednesday evening or Thursday morning
e.g. first-come, first-serve transactions will be official, recorded on the transactions page on fflgoo.com, but you will not see changes on CBS until late Wed or early Thu.
PLAYOFF OUTLOOK
With one week left in the regular season, no division has been clinched although four teams — Mud, Thorobreds, Violence, Griffins — have secured AT LEAST a wild card spot. Any of those 4 could still win their division. Also, the Paterno Division winner — either the Blowfish or Armadillos — will get the fifth playoff spot.
The last wildcard slot is up for grabs between the loser of the Blowfish-Armadillos division race, and the Beach Dudes, Wildcats, or Muffdivers.
Engle Division:
Chicago Mud (8-3); remains one win away from clinching division.
New Chester Thorobreds (7-3-1); would win division at 8-3-1 if CHI finishes 8-4.
Cappelletti Division:
Philadelphia Griffins (7-4); wins the division with a week 13 win (holds head-to-head tiebreaker over HVV)
Happy Valley Violence (8-4); regular season complete; wins the division if PHI loses their week 13 game
Paterno Division:
Boxboro Blowfish (6-5); remains one win (or tie) away from clinching division.
Dallas Armadillos (5-6); would win a tiebreaker vs. BOX if both teams finish 6-6.
NOT DEAD YET
Orange County Beach Dudes (6-5); a win for the Dudes would clinch the final wildcard spot. They lose head-to-head tiesbreakers with either BOX, DAL, or MIA in a 6-6 tie.
Boston Wildcats (5-5-1); 6-5-1 would still beat a 6-6 team in playoff scenarios, so the Wildcats need a week 13 win, PLUS a week 13 loss by the Beach Dudes.
Miami Muffdivers (5-6); A 6-6 Miami team would get the final spot if they win PLUS if the Wildcats and Beach Dudes both lose.
Interesting to note the team nearly 100 pts ahead in overall point standings — Boxboro — may not make the playoffs. A loss this week to the Muffdivers combined with an Armadillos win would knock the Blowfish out of the playoff picture.
Good luck to the remaining contenders!
FFL-GOO Two Week Warning
Instead of a two minute warning, it’s a two week warning: two weeks remain in the FFL-GOO regular season. We will, at a minimum, have a points championship this year. We hope to get our playoffs in as well. With two weeks left, no division has been clinched yet.
Keep an eye on Covid situations: Steelers vs. Ravens that was moved from Thursday to Sunday afternoon, has NOW been moved to Tuesday night. If you have players on those teams, follow the news and weigh your risks accordingly when setting your lineups this week.
Refresher: three division winners make the playoffs, and three wild cards from the remaining 3 best records.
– Quarterfinals (NFL week 14): Seeds #1 and #2 have byes; Seed #3 vs. Seed #6, and Seed #4 vs. Seed #5.
– Semifinals (NFL week 15): Seed #1 chooses their opponent from the quarterfinal winners; the other two teams face off vs. one another.
– Fantasy Bowl (NFL week 16) and consolation game.
– Points continue to count through NFL week 17.
PLAYOFF OUTLOOK
Engle Division:
Chicago Mud (8-2); one win away from clinching division; clinched at least a wild card spot.
New Chester Thorobreds (6-3-1); could win division at 8-3-1 if CHI finishes 8-4.
Cappelletti Division:
Philadelphia Griffins (7-3); one game lead.
Happy Valley Violence (7-4); has only has one game left.
Boston Wildcats (5-4-1); could win the division at 7-4-1 if PHI and HVV both finish 7-5.
Paterno Division:
Boxboro Blowfish (6-4); one win away from clinching division; AND >125 points ahead of the pack in the points race.
Dallas Armadillos (5-6); has only has one game left; would win a tiebreaker vs. BOX if both teams finish 6-6.
NOT DEAD YET
Miami Muffdivers (5-5)
Orange County Dudes (5-5)
Either could finish 7-5 and be involved in tiebreaker scenarios.
TAKE-AWAYS
— Four teams have 5 wins now, and three of them could finish with 7 wins.
— Which means we could have a logjam of 7-win teams.
— The BOS vs. NCT regular season tie game could be a factor: a 7-4-1 team would win a tiebreaker over a 7-5 team, for instance.
— And if it came down to a wild card tiebreaker between BOS and NCT, total points would be the determining factor.
OH WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES
— Our 2019 playoff teams have not fared well this year: two division winners from last year (MER and BOB) will not make the playoffs, as well as last year’s Fantasy Bowl champion (KEY).
Good luck to those still competing for playoff spots. For those not in the playoff hunt, remember that MORE POINTS during these weeks can slightly improve your draft lottery chances, so please stay engaged!
Major Trade News
FFL Owners: Reminder that kickoff this week is the trade deadline, and news flash — we have trades to report.
Kyler Murray is headed to Keystone, and A.J. Brown is headed to Dallas. The Armadillos are looking to supplement a receiving corps that is one of the lowest scoring in the league for a hopeful playoff run. Murray’s trade to Keystone is not likely to help the 2-7 Longfellows this year since a playoff spot seems out of reach, but the hottest QB on the planet is headed to the team that appeared in the past three consecutive Fantasy Bowls, so this sure strengthens a perennial contender.
Another young QB is also on the move: the Mud have traded Justin Herbert to the Wildcats. Chicago at 7-2 is a leading playoff contender and stocks up an extra 2021 draft pick, while Boston at 4-4-1 is hoping to find an answer for the lowest-scoring QB corps in the league. Details for all trades will always be posted on fflgoo.com Transactions page.
Season is official; trade deadline next week
We are at kickoff week 10 of the fantasy football season, so we will have an official season even if there are Covid-related disruptions to the NFL season.
- if the NFL season continues through 17 weeks, we will hold our playoffs and award a Fantasy Bowl championship
- if the NFL season is unable to continue through 17 weeks, we will only award a Fantasy Points championship
NEXT WEEK also marks our usual season deadlines, so keep these in mind:
- kickoff next week is the TRADE DEADLINE: no trades after next week until after the season
- kickoff next week is PROTECTION CUTOFF: no players added to your roster after next week are eligible for protection
- transactions return to first-come, first-serve after all week 11 games are played. (Remember that CBS sports website keeps the players “locked” so first-come transactions are recorded on fflgoo.com first, and then processed on CBS starting on Tuesday each week.)
In what has been an odd season to say the least, we have only 5 teams with losing records. Our Fantasy Bowl teams from 2019 are among those with losing records. Over half the league (seven teams) are at or within 2 games of a .500 record. With 4 weeks remaining, it feels like anything could happen playoff-wise in FFLGOO … if the NFL manages to get the full season in.
COVID-19 Rules
Rules adopted and notes about the 2020 season in light of the global pandemic. Will be updated as situations warrant. Fairness and flexibility will be the ultimate goal dealing with this unprecedented situation.
Rostering “season opt out” players
- Players who chose the “season opt-out” from the NFL will essentially remain on the roster of the team that had them at the end of the 2019 season. They can be protected going into 2021 season if you want, without losing a service year.
COVID IR; and games postponed due to COVID outbreaks
- Players who are out because of COVID-19 can be placed on IR. Everything else treated as a regular IR transaction, but teams are not charged fees for COVID-related transactions.
- We’ve also interpreted this to cover players whose games are cancelled because of COVID-19. So players on teams with games that are postponed due to COVID-19 outbreaks can be placed on IR under same rules.
- Players placed on COVID-19 for a postponed game MUST BE REACTIVATED before their team’s next scheduled NFL game, unless they are otherwise eligible for injury or health IR; in which case they will be taken off COVID-IR (free transaction) and placed on regular IR (and appropriate cost for the regular IR transaction would apply).
- If an NFL game is rescheduled from a Sunday or Monday game to a Tuesday night, the transaction waivers deadline will be moved to Wednesday night at 9pm that week.
- A player added to your roster may be placed on COVID-IR *if* the player is placed on NFL’s COVID-IR after you added him; *or if* the player’s game that weekend is postponed due to COVID after you added him.
What constitutes an FFL Season?
- The NFL season must last 10 weeks or more for our fantasy season to be official. If the NFL needs to cancel without getting 10 weeks in the books, our fantasy season 2020 will be cancelled, games/stats will not count, and league fees paid for 2020 will be applied toward 2021 season.
What if the FFL season is 10+ weeks but doesn’t finish because of a COVID shutdown?
- Prize money will be distributed by percentage of weeks played (17 weeks expected). Unpaid moneys will be credited equally to 2021 season entrance fees.
- Points money will be paid out as per existing rules.
- Place money will be distributed based upon win percentage of teams that are playoff eligible at the time the season is suspended.
- Points trophy will be awarded as per existing rules
- Fantasy Bowl trophy will not be awarded.

Keystone wins Points Championship
For the fourth time — and twice in the past three years — Keystone has topped the league in total points, winning the Points Championship with a nice round grand total of 1,200 points. The Longfellows finished 35 points ahead of Fantasy Bowl Champs Big Oregon Bang, who finished the 2019 campaign with 1,165.
It’s the fifth time for both teams of being in the money (finishing 1st or 2nd) for overall points.
2019 marked a low point for Happy Valley with the team’s first finish in last place points overall. But the Violence scored 805 points, which marks the highest number ever for a last-place points team.
Final 2019 Points:
- Keystone 1,200
- Oregon 1,165
- Boxboro 1,112
- Frelinghuysen 1,028
- Boston 996
- New Chester 996
- Mercer 978
- Miami 942
- Orange County 932
- Philadelphia 929
- Chicago 922
- Dallas 854
- Happy Valley 805

Top-seeded Big Oregon Bang hung on for a narrow victory over Keystone, and in doing so captured the franchise’s third championship with a 56-53 win in Fantasy Bowl XXVIII. It is the Big Bang’s first championship since 2009.
As he did all year, the league’s top-scoring performer — Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson — lead the charge for the Big Bang with 23 points on the week. Keystone’s running backs — as they have done all season — lead the scoring for the Longfellows as Christian McCaffrey and Todd Gurley combined for 26 points between them. But Keystone’s receivers let them down; entering the Monday night game Keystone needed only 4 points from Adam Thielen, but he came up short and only posted 2 rushing yards.
In the consolation game, Orange County ended their late-season surge with a huge 100-63 victory over second-seeded Mercer. Nittany Lion great RB Saquon Barkley lead the charge for the Beach Dudes, posting the highest individual score in week 16 — 35 points.
We enter the final week with total points still undecided. Keystone and Oregon are almost assuredly locked into the top two point slots, with Keystone leading Oregon by 32 points entering the final weekend.
2020 Draft Lottery Chances
The following table shows the 2020 lottery chances
If you have questions please refer to Section 5.3 of the league rules for details of how these are calculated.
Continue reading “2020 Draft Lottery Chances”Fantasy Bowl XXVIII: Oregon vs. Keystone
The matchup is set for the 2019 Fantasy Bowl. Top-seed Big Oregon Bang (10-3) will face the fifth-seeded Keystone Longfellows (9-5) for the league’s 28th championship game. The Big Bang ousted Orange County 74-63 in the semi-finals, while Keystone easily dispatched Mercer 77-53.
The Mustangs (8-5) and Beach Dudes (7-7) will face each other for the 3rd-place consolation game.
Keystone becomes only the second team in league history to reach 3 consecutive Fantasy Bowls. The Boston Wildcats went to 3 consecutive Fantasy Bowls 1999 through 2001 (BOS lost all three).
This will be the sixth appearance for the Big Bang in the championship game, going 2-3 in 5 previous appearances, last winning in 2009. This will be the 5th Fantasy Bowl appearance for the Longfellows, who are 2-2 in 4 previous appearances, last winning in 2017.
And with two weeks remaining in the season, Keystone leads Oregon 1087-1052 in the overall points race. This is likely an insurmountable lead over the rest of the field. Only two other teams (Blowfish with 985, Wildcats with 904) are above 900 points.
