Rules Change Passes

By a unanimous vote of 13-0, our package of rules changes has passed and will be implemented in the 2025 season.

Here are the revised rules, posted for review: https://fflgoo.wordpress.com/rules2025/

Please let me know if there is anything unclear in there. We moved the scoring-only week to the end, stripped out the divisions and added the hybrid scoring system. The bulk of those changes are covered in section 1.6 of the rules; with minor adjustments elsewhere to related rules as required.

After a review period and addressing any concerns, I’ll move those rules to the permanent page location on the site.

Ramping Up For FFL

The 2025 season is nearly here as August looms, and with several FFL owners traveling during our normal draft time, the FFL calendar is earlier than normal this year.

Rule Change Proposal: Now

The ballot is out to all FFL owners. If you haven’t done so, vote now. This is the package of changes to adopt hybrid scoring so we have head-to-head matchups each week PLUS top-scoring teams earning points regardless of win-loss-tie.

Protection Deadline: Sat. Aug. 16

The protection deadline is 9:00pm EST on Saturday, August 16. Let’s fire up the engines and start those pre-draft trade talks!

Draft: Fri. August. 22

MARK YOUR CALENDAR: The 2025 FFL draft is 8:00pm EST on Friday, August 22. The draft will be conducted via Zoom, and owners will get a link to the draft closer to draft day.

Rosters

The 2024 final league spreadsheet is up-to-date. Players shaded light blue are eligible as prospects. Please note the “CPR” column to track consecutive protections remaining. If you have players with ZERO protections, you must use a franchise tag to protect them. Each team has one franchise tag.

Froglickers Win Fantasy Bowl XXXIII

The Frelinghuysen Froglickers have captured the franchise’s third league championship with a win over the Boxboro Blowfish in Fantasy Bowl XXXIII. The Froglickers’ 98.5 – 86.5 win avenges their regular season loss to the Blowfish and denies Boxboro a record 6th title.

The Froglickers will also capture the overall points trophy, as they enter the final week 121 points ahead of the second-place Blowfish. The only drama remaining for the final week is whether the Froglickers will pass the all-time single season points record — they are 115 points shy of the highest total ever.

With three of the top six overall players (Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Ja’Marr Chase) on the year, the Froglickers vaulted to the top-overall points team in Week 7 and never looked back.

New Chester will take home 3rd place with a 107-51 win over the Connecticut Wildcats. The Wildcats theoretically remain in the running for the second-overall points prize, but have fallen nearly 60 points behind Boxboro entering the final week.

Last year’s points champs — the Chicago Mud — defeated the Miami Muffdivers 116 – 93.5 to win 5th place.
