Perfect lineup and Travis Etienne’s performance give Philadelphia Griffins the win
Philadelphia Griffins started the post-season off with a bang. They destroyed Connecticut Wildcats, winning 111.5 to 84. Philadelphia Griffins took over the top spot in total points with that 111.5 point effort.
The win brings Philadelphia Griffins to 8 – 6, and sends them to the top of our internal power rankings. Connecticut Wildcats will finish their season at 7 – 7.
Travis Etienne and Bijan Robinson were the key contributors for Philadelphia Griffins, scoring 24.5 and 21 points, respectively. Etienne’s 24.5 points represent the most he’s had this year. He made a defender miss to score his third TD of the day.
Meanwhile, Connecticut Wildcats didn’t have anybody who was too hot, or too cold, but this Goldilocks outcome was not ‘just right’. Kyren Williams paced the team by beating the average running back by 9.4 points, while Darius Slayton (3.6 points worse than the average wide receiver) was the worst on the team. Slayton’s 4 points made him the worst starter on his team for the 2nd time this season.
Coach Nicholas Fisher did his part in the victory, setting a perfect lineup. That took more than just following the experts’ advice. He started Brian Thomas Jr. instead of Rome Odunze, despite the experts’ prediction that Odunze should have played.
This decision netted Coach Fisher an extra 11 points, which only added to Philadelphia Griffins’ domination. This is the first time all season that Coach Fisher has set a perfect lineup.
Don’t Test Me
Kyle Pitts’ 36.5 points were too much for Orange Co. Beach Dudes
This contest featured the top performing player this week in Kyle Pitts, and not surprisingly, he played on the winning team.[1] Miami Muffdivers took down Orange Co. Beach Dudes handily, winning 100 to 82.5 behind 36.5 points from Pitts. He has been on fire of late, putting up more points over the last three weeks than any other starter. He delivered a performance we haven’t seen in almost 30 years.
James Cook helped out as well, exceeding his projected point total by 18.1 points. Cook’s 28 point performance topped all running backs this week.
Meanwhile, Breece Hall and Jaylen Waddle were both working off the same playbook this week, tallying only 1 point for Orange Co. Beach Dudes. Hall’s 1 point was the fewest he has scored this year. He has now been the worst performer on Orange Co. Beach Dudes more times than any other player.
Coaches dan callahan and Ross Hessler certainly can’t blame the loss on Trevor Lawrence, who scored 38 points. No other quarterback has scored more points than that this season.
The win brings Miami Muffdivers’ record to 9 – 5, while dropping Orange Co. Beach Dudes to 6 – 8.
