Game recaps by CBS Fantasy Football AI Sports Reporters

Happy Valley Violence took yet another hit to the loss column, while Miami Muffdivers won their 5th in a row. Meanwhile, Terry Muth won by setting a perfect lineup. Read all about it in this week’s report.

Five Alive!

Christian McCaffrey and Miami Muffdivers stay hot against Boxboro Blowfish

Miami Muffdivers had the best running backs coming into this game, and they came through for Coach Pat landy once again. Miami Muffdivers used a big game from their running backs to take down Boxboro Blowfish 66 to 35. Christian McCaffrey scored 26.5 points, while James Cook scored 9.5. McCaffrey now has the most games ever with a rushing TD and a receiving TD.

Meanwhile, the loss for Boxboro Blowfish came down to a pretty simple factor: they didn’t go anywhere. Collectively, they only managed to gain 281 yards rushing and receiving. No other team gained fewer total yards this week. Boxboro Blowfish suffered through poor performances from Kayshon Boutte, Ollie Gordon II, and Chuba Hubbard in that category, who collectively managed only 26 total yards.

Miami Muffdivers have now finished off five straight opponents after this win, bringing their record to 6 – 2. Boxboro Blowfish are now 3 – 5 after losing three out of their last four games.

Relief

Alec Pierce’s 11 points help get Keystone Longfellows back on track

Keystone Longfellows exceeded their expectations for three straight weeks coming into this game, did it again, and were rewarded with a victory. They wound up with a solid victory against Mercer Mustangs, winning 76.5 to 64. The victory ended Keystone Longfellows’ four game losing streak.

The win brings Keystone Longfellows’ record to 3 – 5, while dropping Mercer Mustangs to 4 – 4.

Keystone Longfellows didn’t have any huge performances this week, but also didn’t have anybody who really dropped the ball. Alec Pierce was the best player, scoring 11, while Kenneth Walker III was the worst on the team with 3.[1]

Meanwhile, Coach Jim Waugh can blame the loss on Tyler Allgeier, Zach Charbonnet, and Jake Ferguson, who together scored only 5 points. That makes it four straight games where Allgeier has underperformed the league average running back.

Looking at lineup decisions, Coach Terry Muth followed the experts’ advice for each position this week and ended up with a perfect lineup. This is the first time all year that Coach Muth has pulled that off.

Show’s Over

Josh Jacobs and Orange Co. Beach Dudes put an end to Chicago Mud’s five game streak

Orange Co. Beach Dudes made sure that they didn’t become the 6th straight team to lose to Chicago Mud. Orange Co. Beach Dudes made it past Chicago Mud, winning 76.5 to 70.

Orange Co. Beach Dudes got their first back-to-back wins of the season, bringing their record to 5 – 4. The loss drops Chicago Mud’s record to 6 – 2.

Orange Co. Beach Dudes have been relying on Josh Jacobs all year, and he came through again this week. Jacobs led a very balanced group of five overperformers for Orange Co. Beach Dudes, posting 15 points. Good performances are nothing new for Jacobs, who has been the top performer on Orange Co. Beach Dudes more times than any other player. He has now outperformed the league average running back for five straight games.

Meanwhile, Alvin Kamara loomed large in the loss for Chicago Mud, scoring -0.5 points. That was fewer than every other running back this season. He could only muster 14 rushing yards before losing a fumble on his last carry of the game.

Next week will see Chicago Mud taking on the 4 – 5 Philadelphia Griffins. The game against Philadelphia Griffins will feature the two luckiest teams in the league, so be on the lookout for four leaf clovers. As for Orange Co. Beach Dudes, they will square off against Big Oregon Bang.

Don’t Doubt Me

17.5 points from Kyle Monangai were too much as Connecticut Wildcats defies expectations

Connecticut Wildcats were expected to get blownout in this game, but apparently that just made them angry. They made it look easy against Dallas Armadillos, winning 89.5 to 63.5. With the win, Connecticut Wildcats put an end to Dallas Armadillos’ three-game win streak.

The win brings Connecticut Wildcats’ record to 5 – 3, while dropping Dallas Armadillos to 4 – 5.

Kyle Monangai did about as good for Connecticut Wildcats this week as he did bad last week. Although Connecticut Wildcats won with a balanced effort, Monangai was the first among equals, producing 17.5 points.1 That’s the most points that he’s scored so far this year. Monangai’s first NFL start probably won’t be his last considering the 198 total yards he dropped on Cincinnati.

Meanwhile, Tucker Kraft and Kimani Vidal were quite coordinated in their failures for Dallas Armadillos. They each put up only 1 point. Kraft’s 1 point performance was the worst of any tight end this week. His performance also ended a three game streak of beating the experts’ projections.

Although Dallas Armadillos lost this game, on the bright side, Connecticut Wildcats was the hardest test they will face for a while. Their next three games are against sub .500 teams, starting with Keystone Longfellows next week. Dallas Armadillos won’t have Javonte Williams available to start in that contest.

Meanwhile, Connecticut Wildcats will collide with Mercer Mustangs next week.

Brock ‘n Roll

Brock Bowers’ 33 points were too much for Philadelphia Griffins

There were several blowouts this week, but none bigger than this one. Frelinghuysen Froglickers crushed Philadelphia Griffins, winning 95 to 52. Those 95 points made Frelinghuysen Froglickers the highest scoring team overall this season, wresting the crown from Miami Muffdivers.

Frelinghuysen Froglickers improve to 5 – 3 after winning three out of their last four games. The loss drops Philadelphia Griffins back below .500 at 4 – 5.

Frelinghuysen Froglickers got off to a decent start early. Lamar Jackson led the way, scoring 19 points.

Meanwhile, Coach Nicholas Fisher’s squad was taking a collective personal day. They got a total of 1 point from Rome Odunze and DK Metcalf. Odunze’s zero points made him the worst starter on his team for the 2nd time this season.

Frelinghuysen Froglickers were already a big favorite to win going into the Sunday late games. It was over for good after Brock Bowers scored an incredible 33 points. A solid performance for Frelinghuysen Froglickers by Jaxon Smith-Njigba on Sunday night just put a little bit of salt in Philadelphia Griffins’ wounds.

No Laughing Matter

Tee Higgins drops 26.5 points in leading New Chester Thorobreds to victory

Coming into the game, Happy Valley Violence had scored the fewest points of any team over the last three weeks. No surprise then, they got weak results this week. Coaches Chris Paret, Jeffrey Ozarski, and John Trzeciak’s boys ended up pretty far behind in this one, 79 to 59.5 to New Chester Thorobreds. That point total sent Happy Valley Violence to the bottom of the points standings for the season.

The defeat is the 4th in a row for Happy Valley Violence, and puts their record at 2 – 7. The win brings New Chester Thorobreds to 3 – 5.

Tee Higgins separated himself from the rest of the crew on New Chester Thorobreds, recording 26.5 points. A good performance by Higgins has been crucial for New Chester Thorobreds all year, as they have gone 3 – 2 when he exceeds expectations, and 0 – 3 when he doesn’t. The first of his two touchdowns was this monster 44-yard score.

Meanwhile, Jordan Love was clearly the weakest link for Coaches Chris Paret, Jeffrey Ozarski, and John Trzeciak and the gang as he scored 4 points.[2] That performance was worse than every other player this week.[3] He hopefully has some credit left over from last week’s 24 point performance.

Big Bang gets a point in the bye week

The Big Oregon Bang had the third-highest scored of the week with 86 points, and therefore gets a point for high-scoring teams durig their bye week.
