Dallas Armadillos won their 5th in a row, while Philadelphia Griffins took yet another hit to the loss column. Other interesting news such as Miami Muffdivers’ first loss of the season, in this week’s recap.
I’ll Have Another
In a week where there were three blowouts, this was the biggest. Dallas Armadillos crushed Philadelphia Griffins, winning 104.5 to 66.5. With those 104.5 points, Dallas Armadillos had the most points in the league for the 2nd straight week.
Dallas Armadillos have now finished off five straight opponents after this win, bringing their record to 6 – 1. The loss makes it four in a row for Philadelphia Griffins, putting their record at 4 – 4.
Dallas Armadillos have been relying on A.J. Brown all year, and he came through again this week. Brown teamed up with CeeDee Lamb and Gus Edwards to provide 78% of Dallas Armadillos’ points. Brown is on quite a hot streak, performing better than any other starter over the last three weeks. He caught all eight of his targets on Sunday, an incredible accomplishment considering one of them might be the most impressive catch this season.
Desmond Ridder got his first start for Philadelphia Griffins this week, but it might be his last. Ridder was clearly the weakest link for Coach Nicholas Fisher and the gang as he recorded zero points. That made him the worst starter this week. Unfortunately, more bad performances might be on tap for Ridder, who has seen his point total drop in each of the last three weeks.
Looking at lineup decisions, Coach Fisher wound up with a perfect lineup this week, albeit by following the CBSSports projections to the letter. He was the only coach this week to pull that off.
Cya!
Coaches dan callahan and Ross Hessler probably wanted to take a vacation after last week’s down-to-the-wire contest. They got the rest, and the win. Orange Co. Beach Dudes gave New Chester Thorobreds a 87.5 to 56.5 drubbing. The win brings Orange Co. Beach Dudes’ record to 5 – 3, while dropping New Chester Thorobreds to 3 – 5.
Orange Co. Beach Dudes made a big statement during Sunday’s main action. Jaylen Waddle drove the bus, scoring 18.5 points. Waddle posted a season-high 121 receiving yards on Sunday, which is a bit easier when you’re left totally undefended.
Orange Co. Beach Dudes also got a solid effort from Kareem Hunt (6.9 points above expected). It’s also the 3rd straight week that he has outperformed his projections.
Meanwhile, New Chester Thorobreds were having a so-so performance. The tag team of Christian Kirk and Aaron Jones was good for all of 6 points between them. Underperforming is the new normal for Jones, who has gone three straight games without hitting his projected point total.
A win was looking really unlikely for New Chester Thorobreds going into Sunday night’s game. The door slammed shut for good after D’Onta Foreman dropped only 1.5 points.
Aaaaalvin!
Chicago Mud just outclassed Happy Valley Violence this week, earning a 69.5 to 48.5 victory. The win is more of the same for Chicago Mud, who won the last game with Happy Valley Violence by the score of 95.5 to 45.5. The win brings Chicago Mud’s record to 5 – 2, while dropping Happy Valley Violence to 1 – 7.
Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, league-leaders at the wide receiver and tight end positions, faced off in this one. Only one of them, however, lived up to expectations. The Cheetah did great for Chicago Mud, racking up 18 points. He now has over 1,000 receiving yards on the season, making him the fastest player to reach that mark in the Super Bowl era.
On the flip side, Kelce was not having a typical Travis Kelce week, scoring only 5 points. Kelce’s performance this week broke his three game streak of surpassing his projections.
The other players on Chicago Mud had Hill’s back, coming up with 51.5 points. That group was led by Alvin Kamara, who scored 20 points. Kamara set his high mark for the season with that effort.
Goin Streaking!
Keystone Longfellows came into this week on a five game losing streak, and went ahead and signed up for more punishment. They ended up pretty far behind in this one, losing 93 to 70.5 to Boxboro Blowfish. Despite the poor result, things are looking up for Keystone Longfellows. In each of the last three weeks they have scored more points than the week before.
Boxboro Blowfish have now won three games in a row, which brings their record to 4 – 2 – 1. The loss drops Keystone Longfellows’ record to 1 – 6.
Boxboro Blowfish had all (well, most) hands on deck in this win, with six players beating their positional averages. Jalen Hurts was the best of the bunch, tallying 22 points. That’s all in a day’s work for the 2nd best quarterback in the league. He only posted six rushing yards on Sunday, but his four touchdown, no interception air attack more than made up for it.
Meanwhile, Latavius Murray stuck out as the worst performer for Keystone Longfellows, totaling only 0.5 points. Murray has now failed to top the league average running back in seven straight games.
There’s a favorable schedule ahead for both teams. Although Keystone Longfellows lost this game, on the bright side, Boxboro Blowfish were the hardest test they will face for a while. Their next two games are against sub .500 teams, starting with Big Oregon Bang next week. Big Oregon Bang, who won this week, will be looking for their first back-to-back wins of the season.
Meanwhile, Boxboro Blowfish will collide with Happy Valley Violence next week. That team is not coming in very hot, after finishing this week with only 48.5 points.
End of the Line
Miami Muffdivers came into this week’s match-up on a six-game win streak, but Big Oregon Bang put an end to that. Big Oregon Bang destroyed Miami Muffdivers, winning 104 to 68. Blowouts are the usual for these teams these days. Big Oregon Bang has been involved in two straight blowout games, while this is the 5th straight blowout game for Miami Muffdivers.
This was Miami Muffdivers’ first loss of the season, which gives them a 6 – 1 record.
Jahmyr Gibbs led a very balanced group of five overperformers for Big Oregon Bang this week, totaling 21.5 points. This is the 2nd time this year that Gibbs has paced Big Oregon Bang. He nearly doubled his single-game career high in rushing yards, picking up 152 with a touchdown.
Meanwhile, there were plenty of chefs cooking up this week’s loss for Miami Muffdivers. They were brought down by five underperformers, the worst of whom was Dalton Schultz (1 point). Schultz might be heading back to the waiver wire after getting picked up before this game.
The strength of schedule diverges for these squads next week. Big Oregon Bang have a lucky matchup set for next week. They play Keystone Longfellows, a team currently on a six game losing skid. Big Oregon Bang won’t have Travis Etienne available to start in that contest.
Miami Muffdivers’ loss this week is especially bad as it represented the last easy game they will have for a while. The next three games are against winning teams, starting with Chicago Mud next week. Miami Muffdivers will face off against Tyreek Hill in that game, part of a three game stretch against tough wide receivers which will see them take on A.J. Brown and Ja’Marr Chase in the following weeks.

The experts predicted that Connecticut Wildcats was going to have the easiest time of any team this week, and that now looks like a good call. They wound up with a solid victory against Mercer Mustangs, winning 69 to 60.5.
The win was Connecticut Wildcats’ 3rd in their last four games, bringing their record to 3 – 5. Another defeat makes it four in a row for Mercer Mustangs, dropping their record to 2 – 5.
Connecticut Wildcats had never lost when Breece Hall overperformed his expectations, and that held true again this week. Hall was part of a three-man-team, joining with Justin Herbert and Joe Mixon to post 45.5 points. That makes it three straight games where Hall has outperformed the league average running back. A bit of rain was no problem for Hall, who put the Jets on the board with this amazing 50-yard score.
Meanwhile, Mercer Mustangs had plenty of duds in the loss. Davante Adams was the worst of a four man group of underperformers, scoring only 0.5 points. That’s the fewest points that he’s scored so far this year. He has now underperformed the experts’ predictions in five straight games.
Coach Ron Yeany’s lineup decisions earned his team points last week, and did again this week. He went with Josh Downs over the higher ranked Josh Palmer.
This decision gave Connecticut Wildcats a nice 6 point bonus. Coach Yeany hardly needs any more motivation to go against the experts, as he has taken more risks that any other coach in the league so far.
