With just under two days to Tuesday night’s protection deadline, the short hot stove period of FFL is in full swing. Two big deals were announced Sunday.
The Boston Wildcats landed WR Vincent Jackson in a move that clearly signals the Wildcats want to repeat as champions this year. New Chester will get Boston’s 2011 first-round pick, 2012 third-round pick, and prospect RB James Starks. If the Thorobreds make no other deals, they’ll enter the draft with 4 of the first 16 picks, including the #1 overall pick.
In Happy Valley, the Violence think they have found their QB to replace the retired/MIA Carson Palmer, by obtaining QB Matthew Stafford from Dallas for WR Brandon Lloyd. Both teams finished in the money last year and are looking to re-tool for a playoff run.
