Picking Up Right Where They Left Off…

Week 1 of the 2009 season is in the books, and 2008’s two top-scoring fantasy players — QB Drew Brees and RB Adrian Peterson — picked up right where they left off in 2008. Peterson’s 3 TD, 180-yard performance was good for 35 points and propelled the Orange County Beach Dudes to Week One’s highest score in a 77-47 win over the Richburgh Raptors.  Brees’ 6 TD, 358-yard performance was good for 34 points and lead the Mercer Mustangs in a 58-56 win over Miami.

Also picking up where they left off in 2008 were the Boston Wildcats. The defending champions scored a 55-50 win over the MassIll Mud. Going back to last season, it’s the Wildcats’ 10th consecutive win.
