Dudes stumble again; Longfellows continue to surge

The Philadelphia Eagles’ unexpectedly tight game vs. the New England Patriots Sunday night saw a rare occurence for the 2007 season — Tom Brady and Randy Moss held in check. The dynamic duo’s well-below-average production spelled doom for the Orange County Beach Dudes, who lost for their second time in the past three weeks, 57-53 to the New Chester Thorobreds. A win for the Dudes, who left 45 points on the bench, would have clinched the division title outright. OCD has likely already clinched the Cappelletti Division, short of some sustained record-smashing performances through the last two weeks.

Keystone won their third game in a row, and 6th of their last 7, with a 64-56 victory over MassIll. The Longfellows lead the wild card chase at this point but are still within striking distance of the Paterno Division title. Philadelphia maintains a 1-game lead in the division, as the Griffins beat the Big Bang 83-62.

Even with the loss, Oregon maintains a 1-game lead in the Engle Division over both MassIll and Miami, now both with 6-4-2 records following the Muffdivers’ 23-23 tie with Richburgh.
