Redraft each year | |
| Proposed by: | FFL (Zilberfarb) | |
| Zilber says: We are migrating there anyway, with the recent reduction in held players. From my perspective (I don’t know how everyone else feels, but it seemed like this year there were some real turnarounds – i mean if nibs is contending, there must be something going on. Starting fresh each year would re-invigorate the draft. Who knows, it may spark the league back to the early “golden” days. By that, i mean that it seems like each of us is so busy with everyday life that it was sometimes an imposition to contact the respective owners on game day. And that was the original idea of the league, to foster communications between us. Just a nostalgic thought. | ||

Change division placement rules
| Proposed by: | MER (Philip) | |
| Base the divisions for the next year not solely on the last years finish, but also on the predictions from our draft software. We’ll rate all teams 1/2 on last year’s finish and 1/2 on the software prediction, and then determine divisions after the draft. Yaw says: Teams can change dramatically based on the draft (and off-season transactions) so just using the previous season’s rankings is not totally reliable. |

All teams that don’t win money go into the draft lottery.
| Proposed by: | NPB (Dan) | |
| Dan says: The 8th place team in the playoffs gets no money and doesn’t get in the draft lottery. I think they should. | ||

Weight the lottery system so the week 11 record part of the equation gets more chances
| Proposed by: | GBM (Ronnie) | |
| The lottery draft should be weighted more to benefit the teams with the worst record through week 11. Currently, the lottery procedure gives equal number of chances based on 1) your record through week 11 and 2) the points scored weeks 11-15. The new proposal will use the same formula, but will multiply the number of chances in the “record through week 11” category by 2. |

Drop/Add reverts to first-come, first-serve after the trade deadline
| Proposed by: | BOS (Ying) | |
| After the Week 11 trade deadline, transactions revert to first-come, first-serve (as they are during the first 2 weeks). Ying says: This would reward owners who are in the playoff hunt but might be just a player or two away from contending. It’s also fairer for late-season injuries. If the owners take the time to follow their games closely in these crucial weeks, why should a team with *no* playoff chance whatsoever be able to come in a snatch away a drap/add (potentially one who will see increased playing time due to an injury to one of your players). |

Institute the run-and-shoot
| Proposed by: | BOS (Ying) | |
| Allow a starting lineup to have 2 running backs and 4 wide receivers. Ying says: Tight Ends are pretty much worthless unless you have one of the top 2 or 3 guys. Just allow 4 receivers of any kind in the starting lineup. |
